LORI KOBAYASHI (CNWI, CTDI)

Lori lives in Sharpsburg, MD with her French Bulldog Sprocket and Border Collie Ion.

She has trained and competed with her dogs in K9 Nose Work®,  NADAC Agility, AKC Agility, WCRL Rally-O, Do More With Your Dog Trick Training, Obedience & much more.


She owns the first NADAC NATCH & V-NATCH French Bulldog, the first WRCL Rally ARCH-MX French Bulldog, and the first NACSW K9 Nose Work NW3 French Bulldog.

She began training professionally in 2008 after working with a behaviorally challenged foster dog.  In 2009 Lori began an apprenticeship with Pat Miller at Peaceable Paws.  Lori also completed 2 Pat Miller Trainer Academies.

In addition to being an Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI), she is also a Certified Trick Dog Instructor through Kyra Sundance's Do More With Your Dog Program.


Lori has instructed in tricks, rally-o, puppy performance, agility, basic manners & K9 Nose Work.


She is a licensed AKC Scent Work judge, currently judging Novice through Advanced classes.

Jess Miller (CPDT-KA, PMCT, CNWI) lives in Clear Spring, MD with her husband Chris and three dogs: Cassie, Penny & Handel.  She has trained and/or competed with her dogs in K9 Nose Work®, WRCL Rally, Agility, Freestyle, Trick Dog Training, Herding, Treibball and much more.  To date Jess' dogs hold CGCs, NW3s, NW2s, NW1s, RNs, herding instinct tests, Trick Dog Titles and more.

   She began training professionally in 2010,  when she was employed as Head Trainer at Briggs Animal Adoption Center in Charles Town, WV, after years of working as a volunteer at area shelters.


In 2011, Jessica began an apprenticeship with internationally acclaimed trainer Pat Miller.  She served as a lead trainer at Peaceable Paws for four years and has assisted Pat with trainer academies & workshops.   After completion of 3 Pat Miller Trainer Academies (including the highest scoring in her Level 1), Jessica received the distinction of Pat Miller Certified Trainer (PMCT).


In 2014, she completed a year long program with NACSW K9 Nose Work® to become a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI).  Since then Jess worked for NACSW as a Trial Coordinator, CO and Judge for ORTs, as well as hosting NACSW sanctioned trials.

    Jessica was the first person in the state of Maryland to be licensed as an AKC Scent Work judge and is available to judge all levels of AKC Scent Work from Novice through Detective Class.  She is also a certified AKC CGC Evaluator and Trick Dog Evaluator.
