Jess Miller (CPDT-KA, PMCT, CNWI) lives in Clear Spring, MD with her husband Chris and three Aussies: Cassie, Penny & Elle.  She has trained and/or competed with her dogs in K9 Nose Work®, AKC Scent Work, AKC FastCAT, WRCL Rally, Agility, Freestyle, Trick Dog Training, Herding, Treibball and much more.  

   After years of volunteering her time in shelters, Jess began training professionally in 2010,  when she was employed as Head Trainer at Briggs Animal Adoption Center in Charles Town, WV.


In 2011, Jessica began an apprenticeship with internationally acclaimed trainer Pat Miller.  She served as a lead trainer at Peaceable Paws for four years and has assisted Pat with trainer academies & workshops.   After completion of 3 Pat Miller Trainer Academies, she received the distinction of Pat Miller Certified Trainer (PMCT).


In 2014, Jess completed a year long program with NACSW K9 Nose Work® to become a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI).  Since then Jess has worked for NACSW as a Trial Coordinator, CO and Judge for ORTs, as well as hosting NACSW sanctioned trials.  In 2021 Jessica completed here training as an NACSW Certifying Official.

Cassie, Penny & Elle



    Jessica was the first person in the state of Maryland to be licensed as an AKC Scent Work judge and is available to judge all levels of AKC Scent Work from Novice through Detective Class.  She is also a certified AKC CGC Evaluator and Trick Dog Evaluator.
